Coral Springs to Canal Point (Lake Okeechobee)
68 miles

Florida surprises us more and more.  The route took us directly into the everglades.  I was amazed by the beauty of south Florida. Surprisingly, it was also miles and miles of fertile farm lands.  I know now where sods of grass comes from.

We are now camping along the banks of Okeechobee lake.  I was going to wash myself in the lake until I saw a gator 10 yards from me in the water.  No thanks, we will all sleep a little dirty tonight.

We are here blogging on the net, listening to ipods and xm radio.   We are certainly not roughing it.

To date we have ridden almost 300 miles with only butt sores so thats a good thing.  Wish us luck as we will be hugging the lake until we head north towards Gainesville.

Good night.
