Mountain Air, NC to Mount Carmel TN
42 miles

I know, we are not keeping up with our average mileage. But we really
are trying but I know we'll get better.

Deb Puckett, the owner of the condo on top of Mountain Air resort, is a
cancer survivor herself. She has been cancer free for over 7 years.
She is very proud to be a cancer survivor and she has this energy for
life that seem to radiate in every direction. It made us realize things
that truly matter in life; family, friends and experiences.

The ride north of Mountain Air was spectacular. We followed Jacks's
Creek for miles and miles. The road seemed to be in perfect sync with
the creek.

Today was a hard day to say the least. We crossed the AT trail and the
Tennessee state line at the same time. The ride up to the point was so
steep, we averaged 3 mph. If you didn't know, walking is 2.5 mph!

We are camping behind a church next to a small creek. It's one of the
better site Josh has found. We're proud of him.

We're trying to get to Kentucky tomorrow. We'll get to ride a little
bit to Virgina too. If we can do this, we'll have been in 3 states in
one day, on a bicycle.

Wish us luck

Good night.

Jin, Glenn, Josh
1 mile at a time...
